Terms of service

By placing an order with Baked Collective, you agree to be subject to the Terms and Conditions as set out in this Terms and Conditions page.

Please ensure you read these Terms and Conditions before placing your order with Baked Collective to avoid disappointment.

1. Payment:

1.1 You acknowledge that, by placing your order, you are agreeing to pay the purchase price for the goods ordered and any other fees or charges set out in this Terms and Conditions.

1.2 Baked Collective may change the prices published in store or on this site at any time without notice given. Prices of products placed in the basket but not paid for are also subject to change and you agree to pay the price current at the time of payment.

1.3 The accepted method of payment will be by direct deposit or visa/debit/credit card.

2. Allergies:

2.1 Baked Collective will not be responsible for any allergy related issues.

2.2 Unless it is specified specifically on your order, all cakes and ingredients may contain or come into contact with the following allergens: Dairy/Wheat/Nuts/Soy/Gluten and other potential allergens.

2.3 We are a kitchen that uses nuts in some baked goods, therefore we cannot guarantee a nut free environment. Please take notice of this when ordering with allergies. 

3. Delivery:

3.1 We only offer delivery for Wedding Cakes at this stage.

4. Cake props:

4.1 Cake Decorations (including sugar figurines) may contain foam and wooden sticks to secure them to the cake. Our cakes may also have a centre dowel for support, travelling and handling.

4.2 Some figurines and decorations may contain wire or toothpicks which can be dangerous if consumed and pose a choking hazard.

4.3 Whilst Baked Collective will make every effort to inform you of non-consumable parts of the cake or dessert, Baked Collective will not be responsible or liable for any harm, loss, injury or claim relating to, or due to the ingestion of any decorating materials or props.

5. Cake Decorations and Variation from Pictured Items:

5.1 Fresh flowers and iced flowers may vary from original image viewed or provided. Sprinkles and other cake and dessert decorations also may vary. This may be due to certain items being unavailable, out of stock or out of season from time to time.

5.2 Whilst we try our very best to replicate images, this can only be done within reasonable limits.

6. Damaged Cakes or Incorrect Storage:

6.1 After your cake or dessert has been picked up/delivered, we take no responsibility for any damage that occurs to any part of the cake or dessert while it is in your care, including if it is as a result of incorrect storage or transportation. Cake Care cards are given with your cake box.

6.2 Where you have elected for a store-pick up, transportation of the cake or dessert is carried out at your own discretion and we will not be responsible for any damage that occurs to the cake during this process.

7. Image use:

7.1 Baked Collective reserves the right to take and use photographs of your cakes and/or desserts before, during and after final display.

7.2 These images may be used for marketing, advertising, training and development and other promotional and social media purposes without any form of compensation to you.

8. Deposit, Cancellation and Refund Policy:

8.1 Quotes from Baked Collective are valid for 14 days from the day of issue

8.2 No order is considered confirmed and no work on the creation of your cake will commence until a 30% deposit is paid and received.

8.3 Once the deposit is paid the quoted price is not subject to change unless changes are made to the order.

8.4 The balance of the payment is due on the date provided on your invoice. For online orders, this is taken straight away.

8.5 If placing an order within a 14 day period, then full payment is due and payable for the order to proceed.

9. Cancellations:

9.1 Paying a deposit OR paying your order in full means that you accept all terms and conditions

In the event of cancellation with more than 7 days notice:

- All requests for cancellations must be made in writing via email.

- 30% of your order is non-refundable

- If you need to postpone your event, please contact us with via email with AT LEAST 10 days notice. Please note that your new date may not be available. If your new date is available, all monies paid will be transferred to the new date.

In the event of cancellation with less than 7 days notice:

- The full amount of your order is payable/non-refundable. No refund or credit will be given.

10. Amending an order:

10.1 We ask that all changes to your order are requested via email as early as possible if you would like adherence to the amended design. Props, figurines and custom decorations need to be ordered and we will not be held responsible if we are unable to accommodate due to late notice. The standard cancellation policy will apply.

If any props, figurines and custom decorations have been ordered/made already before amendments/cancellations, these must be paid for by the customer.

10.2 Any change to the original quote is subject to a quote review and viability of the changes requested.

10.3 In the event that an agreement cannot be reached as to the changes to your quote, the cancellation procedure as set out in these Terms and Conditions will apply.

 

11. Failure to pick up on selected time:


Pickup Policy – Missed or Late Pickups

At Baked Collective, all orders must be collected prior to close of business on the scheduled pickup date.

  • We will attempt to contact you using the phone number provided on your order.
  • If no phone number is provided, we will contact you via email.

Next-Day Collection:

If you miss your scheduled pickup time and we are open the following day, you are welcome to collect your order then.

Please note: We are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and no pickups can be made on those days.

Refunds and Order Forfeiture

All cakes and baked goods are made specifically for each customer.

If an order is not collected during our business hours:

  • No refund will be issued, and
  • The order may be forfeited due to the perishable nature of our products.

By placing an order with us, you agree to this policy. Baked Collective does not take any responsibility for your missed pick up.
